In my time working in this industry, I have seen many things that did not sit well with me. Long-term contracts with cancellation fees, annual fees, membership fees, spraying in heavy rain, charging full price in the dead of Winter, using the same chemicals and pest control products year after year without cycling to avoid creating bait shyness/pesticide resistance, blaming persistent issues on other factors when it really is the fault of the applicator/technician, overcharging working class Americans, providing poor service while insisting tickets get pushed through as quickly as possible in order to maximize company profit, etc. I firmly believe that I can make a living for myself and my family by providing truly affordable & professional pest control services to the residents of Southside Virginia with integrity and without greedy, money-gouging tactics.
When I service a home or business, I take my time to make sure it's done right. My main focus is creating as complete a chemical barrier in/around the home as possible while following label directions and the law. Generally speaking, if your current pest control provider is finishing their run in under 15 minutes, you are being taken advantage of. Take notice of what the technician actually does and how much time it takes them to do it. How complete of a barrier are they creating? How attentive to your concerns are they? Do they seem to be in a rush? Instead of hourly pay, most major companies in the pest control industry pay their technicians by the volume of tickets they clear per day, with far too high a number of dispatches assigned. This puts pressure on their technicians to complete as many tickets as possible, to the detriment of the quality of the service provided. Subpar, inadequate service leads to worsening of existing pest issues or the possibility of new problems, (also known as a complete waste of your money.) My business model purposely keeps my customer pool low enough to effectively and efficiently manage, with quality of service paramount. I genuinely care about my customer's needs and concerns, and this will show in my attention to detail. I will will not consider a pest issue resolved until the goal of the integrated pest management plan we agree on is satisfied.
